UniversiTest - Help & Tutorials
Introduction
UniversiTest is an easy-to-use, fast, and professional examination platform. It can be used by individual teachers and trainers, as well as schools, universities, training centers, and other organizations. Students (learners, exam or quiz participants) can take exams without creating an account on the platform. Every teacher (trainer) who creates an account on UniversiTest is automatically subscribed to the Free plan. Higher-tier plans provide higher usage limits, detailed exam reports, and AI-powered features. With UniversiTest, teachers can use Artificial Intelligence tools to quickly create test questions instead of entering them manually, automatically evaluate responses to open-ended questions, insert complex mathematical formulas into exams within seconds, and receive rapid answers to report-related queries about students. In addition, the platform allows teachers to create classes, monitor student progress, and provide students with the AI Mentor feature.
Please note that although UniversiTest includes many Artificial Intelligence features, the final decision is always made by the teacher. AI is presented here as an assistant tool designed to help teachers work more efficiently.

1. How to create a new test (quiz)?
To create a test (quiz), click the "+ Create New Test" button on the Dashboard. On the page that opens, enter a name for your test (quiz) in the "Test Title" box that fits the subject of the exam you will be conducting (e.g., Carbon compounds). In the "Total Exam Duration (Minutes)" section, enter the duration of the exam you will conduct based on this test. If the exam includes a listening question, activate the "Enable Audio Questions" section. Clicking "Continue → Add Questions" will create an empty test by the system. After adding your questions to this test, you can start an exam based on this test from the Dashboard.

2. Adding questions
After creating a test, you can now add questions to the empty test in your Dashboard. To do this, click the "Questions" button or click on the name of the test. This will take you inside the test. On the UniversiTest platform, it is also possible to generate test questions automatically using Artificial Intelligence.
When you need to enter a question manually, enter the question text into the question box under the "Add a new question" heading. To prepare questions quickly using Artificial Intelligence, open the "Generate with AI" section.
You can add an image to your question. You can do this by uploading it from your computer or pasting it from the clipboard. You can add questions in various formats (multiple choice, open-ended, etc.) to the tests. You can assign appropriate points to each question. These points are added to the scores of students who answer the question correctly during the exam. When typing the answer options, mark the option next to the correct answer to let the system know which one is correct. Finally, click the "Add question" button.
You can generate questions using Artificial Intelligence by choosing one of the methods shown here. You can generate multiple questions with AI by pasting a relevant section from your course materials. Alternatively, you can provide a topic and let AI create questions in different quantities, question types (such as multiple-choice, open-ended etc.), and difficulty levels.
3. How to start an exam session?
After adding questions to your test, return to the Home page (Dashboard). Since your test now has questions, a green arrow icon will appear next to it. This is the "Start Exam" button. Clicking this button will open the Session Settings page. On this page, you can adjust the settings for this exam session. Finally, by clicking "Start Live Session", you can conduct a live - proctored exam with students.
4. Managing a live (proctored) exam
When you start a live session, the program generates a unique 6-character code. This code is created for that specific session. Share the code with your students. When they enter this code on their login pages, they will join your exam. After the students have joined the exam, you display the questions on the students' devices by clicking the "Start Exam" button, and they begin answering the questions. During the exam, real-time monitoring of students, their screen activity, and exam management are performed in the Session Panel.
5. Exam results and analysis
After the exam is over, to check the results, view statistical indicators, and analyze student performance, you first need to enter the Exam History section. Here, you can select the desired exam session from the list and view a detailed report. Here you will find question-by-question analysis and individual exam indicators. You can print the reports or download them to your computer in Excel format.
6. Creating a Class and Adding Students
Students do not need to register on the UniversiTest platform. Any student can access an exam using the exam code or link shared by the teacher. However, in order to track students' progress charts, view their exam history, and provide them with the AI Mentor feature, students must be added to class (group) lists on the UniversiTest platform. Depending on the license type, this process is performed either by individual teachers or by school administrators. Students are never required to register under any circumstances. If an individual teacher has acquired a license on the platform, they can create classes and add students in their own account. If a teacher was added to the platform by an administrator of their school (or institution), the teacher can view the created classes and student lists on the Classes page (if added by the school administrator).
To create a class (group), click the "Classes" button on the teacher dashboard to go to the relevant page. On the page that opens, click the "Create new class" button, enter the class (group) name (for example, Grade 10C, Computer Science, CS101, etc.), and then click the "Save class" button.
After creating a class (group), click the "View students" button for that class to add students. On the page that opens, enter the student's first and last name in the "Add new student" section and click the "Add student to class" button. The student is then added to the class list, and the system automatically generates an access code (password) for that student. This access code is provided individually to each student by the teacher. Each student added to the class can log in to their student portal by entering their full name and access code to view detailed information about their exam history, as well as access a "Topic-Based Personalized Learning Path" for the questions they answered incorrectly, based on the topics set by their teacher.
Instead of entering student names one by one, you can also import them in bulk. To do this, use the "Batch import (Copy & Paste)" feature on the page. Copy the list of student names from any text editor and paste them into the designated area. Make sure that there are no additional characters (such as numbering/row numbers) in the list other than the students' first and last names. The system will also automatically assign an access code to each student during bulk import.

7. Creating Topics
You can create topics on the UniversiTest platform. The main purpose of topics is to guide students in areas where they face difficulties. If a student incorrectly answers at least one question associated with a topic, they will see an explanatory video or guiding text for that topic upon logging into their student portal. To set this up, the teacher should go to the Topics page from their dashboard and create topics relevant to their tests. To create a topic, enter the topic name, a YouTube video link explaining the topic, and a brief summary in the "Create New Topic" section. To use the created topics, simply select (tag) the corresponding topic when adding a question to any test. In this case, a student who answers that question incorrectly will see the video explanation (or guiding text) when they access their student portal. By clicking the "Track progress" (chart icon) button on the "Classes" page, the teacher can track class progress and view the student's current status regarding topic mastery.
