UniversiTest - Help & Tutorials
1. How to create a new test?
To create a test, click the "+ Draft New Test" button on the Dashboard. On the page that opens, enter a name for your test in the "Test Title" box that fits the subject of the exam you will be conducting (e.g., Carbon compounds). In the "Total Exam Duration (Minutes)" section, enter the duration of the exam you will conduct based on this test. If the exam includes a listening question, activate the "Enable Audio Questions" section. Clicking "Draft test and add questions" will create an empty test by the system. After adding your questions to this test, you can start an exam based on this test from the Dashboard. In this video, you will receive information about creating a new exam in the system, setting the name, and basic settings. Video link
2. Adding questions
After creating a test, you can add questions to the empty test already in your Dashboard. To do this, you need to click the "Questions" button or click on the test name. This takes us into the test. Enter the text of the question into the question box under the heading "Add new question". You can add an image to your question. You can do this by uploading from your computer or pasting from the clipboard. You can add questions of various formats (multiple-choice, open-ended, etc.) to tests. You can assign points for each question. These points are added to the scores of students who answer the question correctly during the exam. When writing answer options, mark the checkmark next to the correct answer to let the program know which one is the correct option. Finally, click the "Add Question" button.
3. How to start an exam session?
After adding questions to your test, return to the Home page (Dashboard). Since your test now has questions, a green arrow icon will appear next to it. This is the "Start Exam" button. Clicking this button will open the Session Settings page. On this page, you can adjust the settings for this exam session. Finally, by clicking "Start Live Session", you can conduct a live - proctored exam with students.
4. Managing a live (proctored) exam
When you start a live session, the program generates a unique 6-character code. This code is created for that specific session. Share the code with your students. When they enter this code on their login pages, they will join your exam. After the students have joined the exam, you display the questions on the students' devices by clicking the "Start Exam" button, and they begin answering the questions. During the exam, real-time monitoring of students, their screen activity, and exam management are performed in the Session Panel.
5. Exam results and analysis
After the exam is over, to check the results, view statistical indicators, and analyze student performance, you first need to enter the Exam History section. Here, you can select the desired exam session from the list and view a detailed report. Here you will find question-by-question analysis and individual exam indicators. You can print the reports or download them to your computer in Excel format.
